About Us.
Help for Her is a free digital resource hub for Australian women navigating some of life's most difficult moments: separation, safety, legal uncertainty, financial instability, and the long work of rebuilding.
We exist because the support is out there. Finding it, especially when you're overwhelmed, frightened, or simply exhausted — is the hard part. Help for Her brings it together in one place.
What Help for Her does
A hub, not a service. A connector, not a directory.
Help for Her curates and connects, bringing together trusted guidance, resources and organisations across six core areas. Every page is written to be read by someone who is tired, overwhelmed, or in the middle of something hard. No jargon. No assumptions. No pressure to do anything before you're ready.
How we work
Free, independent and built to last.
- Always free. Help for Her is free to use for every Australian woman. No subscriptions, no accounts, no barriers.
- Independent. We are not affiliated with any government department, legal provider or crisis service. Our only interest is the women using this platform.
- Curated, not exhaustive. Every organisation and resource on this site has been selected because it meets our standard for quality, accessibility and trust. We'd rather point you to fewer, better things than overwhelm you with everything.
- Plain language, always. Every page is written to be read by someone in the middle of something hard. No jargon, no assumptions, no pressure.
- Kept up to date. We review our resources regularly to make sure phone numbers, services and information remain accurate. If you notice something that needs updating, please let us know.
- Built with privacy in mind. We don't track individual users or require accounts. You can browse anonymously. For added privacy, use your browser's private or incognito mode.
What we believe
The principles behind every decision we make.
Who built this
Built by a woman who knows what it's like to not know where to start.
The more women I speak to, the more I understand the need for a service that gives a starting point.
In essence, a place where women can find options before picking up the phone and calling a crisis service. A middle ground to feel listened to, supported and genuinely helped — without having to already know what they need or where to go.
Help for Her is that place. It's free, it's independent, and it's built entirely around the woman reading it. We are just getting started.
